too good to be true

You�ve heard the saying if it�s too good to be true it probably is. So LL chick suddenly stopped replying to emails after I asked about a second date. I guess I was totally out to lunch when I thought things were cool on the first date. Oh well...

Somehow I feel like a sideshow freak for people�s amusement. It�s the �Lets find acksee a LL date� or the �Acksee makeover so he can find a LL date� reality show. People tell me I should do this and do that. I should change the way I dress. I should change my hobbies. I should change my profile. So what �they� are saying is if I change who I am then chicks will be interested in me. Well, I think for now I�ll just be who I am by myself instead of pretending to be someone I�m not with some chick who likes the anti-acksee. I�m just venting. I�m sure �they� mean well.

Actually I think I run better when I�m melancholy. I am more focused. I channel my anger and frustration into putting one foot in front of the other. The marathon training is coming along I think. But I haven�t hit the actual meat and potatoes part of the training yet. We�ll see in a couple weeks what acksee is really made of.
