not this time

Holy fuck-a-noly it’s been over a month. With all that’s NOT happening in my life I managed to forget about this. Well nothing really to update anyway. Work is the usual crap. Long hours staring at the computer screen and threatening meetings and no-raise-for-the-past-two-years.

The on-again-off-again talk of buying a new car almost happened this week. I was this || close to putting down a deposit on a Mini Cooper but me and the sales-chick couldn’t come to an agreement on the final price. Apparently Minis are selling so well that dealers are not giving any discounts. Well .... aren’t we freakin special. Tomorrow I’m going to call back another dealer to so no deal unless they can meet my offer, which is highly unlikely because yeah I’m a cheap-ass. Looks like my little Honda and me are going to be together for a little bit longer.

The tube pre-amp is not working out. It sounds great but I can’t get rid of this freakin hum that is driving me bonkers. So I guess I’m going to start looking at building another one. Yes, spending more of my hard earned money on unimportant crap but then I’m not buying a new car anymore so what the heck.

Nothing happening on the chick front either, although the sales-chick at the dealer was kinda cute. Yeah I’m almost at the point where I’m willing to accept that I’ll be single for the rest of my life. Thank goodness for internet porn. But then again being single is not so bad. You can do whatever you like whenever you like... wear the same pair of jeans for a whole week, leave a cup of tea sitting on the desk till it grows mold, build a pre-amp on your coffee table, eat cereal for dinner...life is great.

Well we’re coming up to another long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving eh) and no plans. No big family dinner, no big turkey (turkey is not a big Chinese thing), probably a lot of sleeping late and doing nothing. Last weekend I was hoping I’d be driving a new Mini by this weekend. Guess not. Bastards.
