slothful

Wednesday, Apr. 21, 2004 - 3:50 p.m.

When is it going to stop raining so I can go running again? I am feeling more and more like a blob. Slothful is the word I’m looking for. I come home from work and just want to plop myself on the couch and do absolutely nothing. No headphone amps to work on, no PS2 games to play, no new CDs to listen to. Blaaaaaah.

The madre is not helping. Yesterday she bought a box of chocolate covered almonds, a box of chocolate truffles and a box of chocolate covered butter cookies. And she asked me if I was going to eat them because if not she would give them to her friends. What, I’m going to say no? I still have some chocolate caramels left over from Christmas and some chocolate covered wafers. That is way too many chocolate choices.

Yesterday BBB must have been really excited about the Leafs/Sens game 7. She was acting all weird as in she kept trying to push me over and tried to write on the back of my neck. What’s up with that? Is that a flirt? I can never tell these things.

Last night SG and me went to watch Kill Bill Volume 2. We were half hour early for the 9:30PM show and the theater was completely empty. We felt like a couple of loser geeks wandering around by ourselves when probably the rest of Toronto was game 7. It was kinda freaky to be sitting in the theater surrounded by empty seats. Finally 9:20PM people started to trickle in but it was still a lot less than half full when the movie started. And of course in the large, a-lot-less-than-half-full theater we got the 5 most irritating people sitting directly in front and behind us. The four in front were chattering in Russian or something throughout the whole movie. They were the weird, over-excited movie people who clapped whenever the bad guys got killed off. And then dude behind us had to put his freakin size 12s up on the empty seat between us. I liked Volume 1 better but Volume 2 definitely showed off Quentin Tarantino’s skill as a screenwriter and director. Uma Thurman is hot. Lucy Lui is not.

Wow, the sun is peeking out as I’m writing this so I may still get to go running today. I’m still not sure which running shoes to buy. I have been happy with 85x series but I don’t think I need the extra support because I don’t have over-pronating feet. I want something lightweight so I’ve been looking at the 833 and the 900.

Crap, it’s not even 4:00PM yet.
