Cyber Cowgirl Vixens vs. the Zombies

Friday, Mar. 26, 2004 - 3:06 p.m.

Oh yeah I am so lazy. I get home from work and I don’t want to do anything. I plop down on the couch and turn on the PS2 or play a disc from my CD collection, which I’m already getting bored of. Okay I lied; I still download porn. I crawl into bed tired but not wanting to sleep yet knowing I need to get up for work. Another day in the fish tank. Work seems to drag on forever and then I drag myself home to start this all over again.

I’ve been waiting for all the parts to come in before starting on the headphone amp. That’s my excuse to sit on my butt after dinner and not do anything. Well the last part came in today. I got the call right before heading out to buy my lunch. At the electronics parts store, it was almost empty and I could see my hi-tech, aluminum case sitting on the counter but I still had to wait 15 minutes before I could pick it up. There was an employee helping some tall, bitchy woman complaining about “false advertising.” There was another employee complaining to the store manager about training. The fourth and last employee was busy doing nothing and told me to talk to the first guy. Uh yeah, that’s 15 minutes of my lunch hour.

Okay I lied again. Last night (after I got home from work but before dinner so it’s only a half lie) I tried using Disk Doctor, which I got last week, to clean my CDs. You add a few drops of special CD cleaning fluid (could be llama spit for all I know) onto special cotton cleaning pads (looks like the ones you get from the local pharmacy for face washing, removing makeup) and gently wipe your CD. Then you add some more of the llama spit onto some polishing brush and polish the surface of the CD in circular motions for 1 minute. Then you rinse it with distilled or filtered tap water. Surprisingly, cleaning the CDs with Disk Doctor did improve the sound. Now I kinda understand what those hardcore guys mean when they say a “veil has been lifted.”

Last weekend SG and me went to see Dawn of the Dead. Sarah Polley is hot. I always remembered her as Anne of Green Gables or the girl from Road to Avonlea but she is all grown up now. Sarah kicked some zombie ass and showed some cleavage at the same time. As far as remakes go it was pretty good even though it didn’t really follow the original story line. I think the major similarity was that the survivors were barricaded inside a mall. But then in the original there was a gun store in the mall. I don’t think you see that a lot these days; at least not in Canada. Apparently most of the movie was shot around Toronto.

If I had to make a movie, I would make one about cowboys, zombies and naked chicks that takes place in a futuristic metropolis. Find a young Clint Eastwood look alike a la Fistful of Dollars and some bouncy, busty chicks a la Russ Meyers movies and stick them on a set a la Blade Runner with lots of zombies. Cyber Cowgirl Vixens vs. the Zombies.
