jolt you awakeTuesday, Mar. 02, 2004 - 11:52 a.m.It’s been a long time since I had a nightmare, one of those jolt-you-awake nightmares. So last night I had one. I remember being in our old house in Vancouver and I was going around checking all the locks on the doors and windows. As I was checking the side door leading out to the carport, the doorknob started to turn. I grabbed the doorknob but too late, the door started opening and a hand grabbed mine. It started pulling my hand out the door and I heard some weird raspy, heavy breathing. The door was only opened slightly so I couldn’t see the person or the hand pulling me. I had a gun in my other hand but I was either too scared or too weak to pull then trigger. Then I was jolted awake. That was around 4:00AM. Since I was up I went to the bathroom and for 10 minutes I lay in bed listening for strange noises. I was all paranoid that there were strange noises coming from downstairs and someone was trying to break into our house. Dang, and me without a weapon in my room. Even though I slept a total of about 7 hours, it felt like only the last 3 counted. So this morning me tired. What’s up with that? I didn’t play any scary video games last night; that was Sunday night. Dang nightmares. I am on another spending freeze for the next two weeks. With my little Honda’s big-ass tune-up bill and car insurance payments, March is going to be painful. My electronic parts have not come in yet so I can’t work on my headphone amp project. My Amazon.ca order is back-ordered so I have no new CDs to listen to. My toilet makes a dripping sound. Absolutely nothing is happening on the dating scene. Oh well, at least I can still download porn.
