dear SantaMonday, Dec. 15, 2003 - 2:21 p.m.Don’t worry, I’m still here. I haven’t been up to much. Just working. And making cables. Yes I found some audio DIY (do-it-yourself) site that teaches how to make speaker cables that are supposed to make your system sound this much better. So I’ve been spending lots of money on different types of wires and cables and connectors and tools and stuff. I’ve got a bunch of cables all twisted and soldered and taped and wrapped together. My basement looks like some techy-geek-mad-scientist lab. I’ve been pulling cables out and reconnecting, pulling out and reconnecting again. Does my system sound better? Who freakin knows? Maybe I need to clean the shit outta my ears. I thought I would update before Christmas just in case Santa Claus happened to come across this. Hey you never know, one diaryland member is actually getting her diary published. Yeah, so dear Santa, I’ve tried to be a good boy this year. Even though you’ve never brought me anything that I’ve asked for, not even on the years that I’ve been really good, I thought I would give you a little ‘minder of what I want. I would like a 16-foot kayak, I don’t need an expensive fiberglass or kevlar one, plastic will be fine. I would also like a tube amplifier and an audiophile quality CD player, and of course nice speakers to go with that. Don’t worry about speaker cables, I can take care of those myself (see paragraph above). I still don’t know which car I want so I will pass on a new car this year. And if you think I’ve been really good this year and deserve a little extra sumpthin-sumpthin I would really like my own place, something like a 1,500 square feet loft with 12-foot ceilings, hardwood flooring and stainless steel appliances. Thanks. Acksee.
