phone deal

I got the new phone. The deal went like this. I got a letter from Telus offering $150 off a new phone and I get to keep my existing plan and number, if I sign a 3-year contract. The phone I’ve been wanting was a Samsung A540 and was on sale for $200 down from $250. So the phone cost me $50, plus the stupid dealer charged $25 to switch my number to the new phone, plus a $20 accessory kit with car charger, leather case and ear piece, plus tax came out to roughly $109. Not bad considering I got to keep my existing phone plan and number. And everyone is saying how nice and cool the new phone looks. And it’s got cool ring tones even though Telus bastards charge $1 for each one you download. Half the size and half the weight of my old phone, it doesn’t feel like a brick in my pants anymore.

Yeah so I spent the whole freakin weekend working because we have a potentially big client that we’ll be demo-ing to later this week. Of course it means us code monkeys are scrambling to make last minute changes to cater to big client. Last night I worked till 10:00PM. Tonight looks the same.

So perfect beautiful people’s baby shower is this weekend. And someone asked me to be the official photographer for this occasion. Okay I didn’t know there were official photographers for baby showers. And obviously this person has never seen my work or else they would realize I’m definitely not the man for the job. I still need to figure out exactly how my flash works and maybe do some reading on portrait photography. I’m not guaranteeing results.
