she had bedroom eyes

Monday, Sept. 22, 2003 - 1:34 p.m.

When is the best time for shit to happen? Try Friday afternoon around 4:00PM. Yes some bad shit happened at the fish tank. One of our clients lost data because it was never recorded due to a bug in the software. The app was released back in March but I guess QA never bothered testing it and no one needed the data till now. So there were speculations about people being fired and talk of resignations. We immediately worked on a fix and tested it on Saturday. Hopefully things will have calmed down today and we find out the full impact of the situation.

After the shit happening on Friday, I was not really in the mood to meet up with SG but we ended up going for noodles and congee. I had to get a membership at Blockbuster because he had $20 in late charges. We rented Identity, which was pretty interesting with a weird twist, which SG figured out halfway through the movie. The movie was good right up till the last, final scene. I won’t ruin the ending, but the final scene sucked ass. Then I reluctantly watched Jack Ass The Movie. It was actually better than I thought but still a stupid movie.

I had been planning to go to Evergreen Canoe on Saturday to check out their end-of-season sale and see if there were any good deals on a used kayak but Friday left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I didn’t feel like dropping a grand on anything. Instead I went to Henry’s after four hours in the fish tank and bought some developer. I went to the one at Yonge & Steeles instead of the one in Scarborough and the cute Asian chick was working there. Her nametag said “Lisa” and she was petite and she had bedroom eyes and she had a bit of an accent which made her that much cuter. Last time I was in there I jokingly apologized for making her reach for some film and she made some joke about how we were both short.

After Henry’s I went to the mall to look for some speaker wires for the new subwoofer. Best Buy didn’t have anything thicker than 16-gauge wire so I had to go to Radio Shack and found some 12-gauge wire. In case you didn’t know, the lower the gauge number, the thicker the wire. Yeah so the subwoofer is all hooked up, spiked into the carpet and burned in. I was testing it out with a few movies and of course my 28 Days Later soundtrack. It was definitely sweet, all the low frequencies came out strong but not overly boomy.

I developed the roll of B/W of waves at the beach. They kinda captured the effect I wanted but still needs a lot of work. I still have a long, long way to go with my photography.

Okay this is sounding long and lame.
